Urgent Funding Needs
Completion of Second Hospital Unit
Started in December, 2013, the second building of CMCS, adding 40 more beds to its capacity, is currently still under construction. The shell has been completed, and we are now seeking financial aid in order to locally purchase roof tiles, sinks, toilets, showers, wall and floor tiles, plaster, paint, electrical installation materials, etc…
In total, we are seeking about CHF 80’000 of external funding for the completion.
Dormitory for Personnel
All our voluntary workers, including doctors, assistants, nurses etc. from Europe, are paying for their travel and stay out of their own pockets. They cover the costs for plane tickets and food, and until now also their accommodation, through their own financial resources. Therefore we would like to erect a third building which functions as a dorm. This housing unit will provide just basic necessities but no luxury or special amenities. It will be located close to the hospital and help to make all of us available for fast and urgent patient care whenever necessary.
The land has already been purchased, another CHF 42’000 of construction costs still need to be covered.
If you are willing to donate, even just a small amount of money, this gesture will be greatly appreciated! Even the smallest sums make a large difference in Cameroon!
